By registering for or using any services provided by Harry's Handy Bin and Other Services ("we", "us", "our", "Harry's Services"), operated via harrysservices.au, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before registering.
1. Services
Harry's Services provides residential bin put-out and return services, overflow disposal, mail collection, and a hard rubbish voucher marketplace. Services are currently limited to select streets in Eltham, VIC, as listed on our website. The voucher marketplace is available to users outside of Eltham, subject to the 100-metre proximity requirement.
2. Payment Terms
- Payment is required upfront. Monthly subscriptions are charged on the 1st of every month. One-off services must be paid before the scheduled service date.
- Payment may be made via credit/debit card (Stripe) or bank transfer, as available on the registration form.
- All payments are non-refundable. No refunds will be issued for services rendered or for any portion of a monthly subscription, including if you cancel partway through a billing period.
3. Cancellation
- A minimum of two (2) business days' notice is required for cancellation of any scheduled service.
- Monthly subscriptions may be cancelled at any time by providing two (2) business days' notice before the next billing date (1st of the month). No refund will be provided for the current billing period.
- Failure to provide adequate notice may result in the service being charged as scheduled.
4. Service Requirements & Access
- Bins must be in an accessible area. Bins should be placed in a location that Harry can safely and easily reach without entering locked premises, navigating hazards, or moving obstacles. If bins are not accessible, the service may not be completed and no refund will be issued.
- No dogs are to be present in the area where bins are accessed during service times. For the safety of our service provider, dogs must be secured or kept away from the bin area on collection and return days. Failure to comply may result in the service not being completed without refund.
- Overflow items must be clean and contained in a single box (beer-carton size) or bag. Harry reserves the right to refuse overflow items that are hazardous, excessively heavy, or not properly contained.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total liability of Harry's Handy Bin and Other Services for any claim arising from or related to the services provided shall not exceed $200 (AUD).
We are not liable for:
- Damage to bins caused by council collection vehicles or third parties
- Missed collections by the council
- Loss or damage to overflow items
- Any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages
6. Disputes & Complaints
Any dispute regarding the service must be logged as a complaint through our website's contact form or by emailing harry@harrysservices.au. All complaints are reviewed by Harry's parents and we aim to respond within 48 hours.
We encourage customers to raise any concerns promptly so we can resolve them fairly and efficiently.
7. Confidentiality
All customer registrations and personal information are kept strictly confidential. We do not share your details with any third party. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your data.
8. Hard Rubbish Voucher Marketplace
- The voucher marketplace facilitates transactions between registered users. Harry's Services acts as an intermediary and is not a party to the voucher transaction itself.
- A $5 facilitation fee is charged per completed transaction.
- Voucher listings are limited to addresses within 100 metres of the registered user's address.
- Harry's Services is not responsible for the validity of vouchers listed by users.
9. Modifications
We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
